The Sharjah Planetarium has announced that Ramadan this year is expected to start from June 29 as the moon is most likely to be visible on June 28 2014.
Ramadan is the time of year when Muslims from all over the world become very religious. Those who do not say their prayers regularly usually start going to the mosques during Ramadan. Due to Ramadan and the summer holiday season coinciding, many travelers are thinking of taking a holiday during Ramadan. Hoteliers that are smart are aware of this and are offering special packages for Muslims.
Several hotels in Switzerland – particularly those in Geneva and Zurich are offering Ramadan packages that include Suhur meals before sunrise and Iftar dinners after sunset. They have also created special prayer areas to facilitate Muslim travelers. Other hotels around the world are also catching up with the Swiss who are well known for their hospitality skills.
