Boston is famous for being home to John F. Kennedy, the first Irish-Catholic President of the United States. And now the Irish are taking over the venerable downtown Boston landmark that once was home to Filene’s department store and its equally famous bargain basement aptly called Filene’s Basement.
In the Fall of 2015 the first Primark store in the United States will open in downtown Boston. Primark, which has 161 stores in the UK including two in London’s Oxford Street, gained traction in the UK and later in Europe by offering value for money. It has become the destination store for keeping up with the latest looks without breaking the bank.
If Primark maintains its affordable pricing policy, the Boston store may become the favorite shopping destination for the city’s thousands of students.
