Top 100 films that inspire travel

British Airways has compiled a list of top 100 films that inspire people to travel. These include classic films like “Casablanca” (which was not shot in Casablanca), “Around the World in 80 Days” and “The Sound of Music” as well as newer movies like “The Hobbit” and “Lord of the Rings” which attracted people to New Zealand and “Up” which is an animated film about flying in a hot air balloon.

According to a survey of 2,000 people, British Airways found that 40% of them were inspired to travel because of a movie they had watched.

“Mission Impossible – the Ghost Protocol” which was partly shot in Dubai is said to have inspired many tourists to visit Dubai.
