Dubai based luxury hospitality company, The Jumeirah Group, has been appointed to manage the 250 room, five star, luxury Jumeirah Hangzhou, in Hangzhou, China. Jumeirah Group is a member of Dubai Holding. Gerald Lawless, Executive Chairman of Jumeirah Group, and Su Meng, President of GT Land Holdings Limited, signed the agreement in Hangzhou.
The hotel will be located in a prime location in the Central Business District of Qiangjiang River New Town, and have easy access to the beautiful West Lake area, which is renowned for its rich cultural heritage. Hangzhou is a one hour train ride from Shanghai and served by the Xiaoshan International Airport. The hotels design incorporates water terraces, bamboo groves, and canals. Guests will have access to many food and beverage outlets, a banquet and conference center, and numerous retail and shopping outlets in the city.
