The Mafraq Hotel, which is currently undergoing construction and refurbishment, will be totally rebranded and reopen as the Ramada Abu Dhabi Mafraq Hotel. General Manager of the Mafraq Hotel said “We believe in the market regardless of all the financial problems arising globally.” Gassan Fares said Abu Dhabi continues to have a very strong market and the growth rate has increased over the past few years.
The Mafraq Hotel’s 121 rooms will be refurbished and a 129 room adjoining wing and chalet block will be built. New facilities will be added including a bigger swimming pool, landscaped gardens, ballroom, car parking lot, and a new conference center. The hotel is located near the Abu Dhabi International Airport and only a 30 minute drive from the center of Abu Dhabi. The refurbishment is scheduled for completion in the fourth quarter of 2010.
