Interior contracting company Depa finalized an AED207 million contract to fit out all guest rooms, suites, and public areas in the Conrad Hotel, Dubai. The luxury hotel is scheduled for completion in 2012 and will be built on Sheikh Zayed Road. The contract includes work on all 500 guest rooms, suites, lobbies, executive lounges, two ballrooms, 11 meeting rooms, and a business center.
Depa chief executive officer said “This contract win further strengthens our backlog position and Depa continues to be on target in terms of profit and revenue growth for 2009.” Depa managing director for operations said there are still higher end projects even though the wider economic environment is difficult. Depa has won fit-out contracts for some of the more well known hotels in the UAE including Emirates Palace, Atlantis the Palm, and Burj Al Arab.
