March 18- Kempinski Residences & Suites Doha, the first property in Qatar, will open in April 2010, according to a press release issued by the company on Thursday. The building is said to be the tallest on Qatar’s skyline and has 62 floors with 370 fully furnished apartments and suites. The highest level of the building will be duplex Sky Villas that consist of six bedrooms each.
“This property will be unlike any other in Doha and we aim to deliver an experience that is unparalleled. From food and beverage outlets offering a range of dining and sensory experiences to the Kempi Kids Club tailored to offer enhanced day care services, residents at the Kempinski Residences & Suites, Doha, will have access to not just great facilities, but also the elevated lifestyle that goes with it,” said Emel Atikkan, General Manager, Kempinski Residences & Suites, Doha.
Atikkan added that Qatar is turning into a business and cultural destination of choice for travelers and most new projects (infrastructure) have been designed and developed keeping this need in mind. Kempinski hopes to offer “exclusivity and service quality in tune with the best that the Kempinski brand offers globally. Rather than be just a new destination for weary travelers, what we offer is timeless elegance and the Kempinski brand will definitely add great value to Qatar’s hospitality scene,” said Rabih Elzyr, Director of Sales. The project, which is in its final stages, will have two indoor swimming pools for adults and families, a large gym with state-of-the-art fitness equipment, steam rooms, sauna, hydrotherapy bath and several treatment rooms.
Kempinski Hotels is one of the oldest luxury hotels of Europe, going back as far as 1897, and has an impressive property portfolio across the world. The property is owned by Al Fardan Hospitality in Qatar.
