April 4- Sheikh Abdullah bin Salim Al Qasimi, deputy ruler of Sharjah, and Sheikh Sultan bin Abdullah of Emco have signed an agreement to build a 343-room hotel along Al Khan beach in Sharjah at a cost of Dh650 million. The signing ceremony was held at Sharjah Shooting and Golf Club while the project itself will be completed within 30 months.
The hotel will have eight floors with the top floor reserved for VIPs. The hotel is inspired by the local environment and the material that will be used will be found locally. “Negotiations are under way with a number of leading international hotel operators to manage the facilities once the construction is completed in August 2012,” he said.
