May 19 – Burj Khalifa, the world’s tallest building, has opened its doors to the first occupants of its much-touted Armani Residences. "From ‘History Rising,’ to ‘A Living Wonder,’ Burj Khalifa has now truly come to life with the first residential community in the luxurious Armani Residences,” said Mr Ahmad Al Matrooshi, Managing Director, Emaar Properties, UAE. "Already, with the opening of Armani Hotel Dubai, the tower is buzzing with activity, and with the imminent hand-over of The Residences and The Corporate Suites, Burj Khalifa will become a vibrant lifestyle community,” he added.
The residences were developed in joint collaboration with Emaar and acclaimed fashion designer Giorgio Armani (who has designed the residences). The housing venture comprises one and two bedroom apartments that are located on levels 9 to 16 of the tower. Residents can also make use of the amenities available at the Armani Hotel Dubai.
