May 25 – In partnership with The Royal Thai Embassy, Mövenpick Hotel Phuket and Qatar Airways, the Mövenpick Hotel Bahrain has officially opened the week long festival on Saturday 22nd May 2010.
Attended by over 200 distinguished guests which includes government officials, diplomats and media partners, the event was opened by His Excellency Suphat Chitranukroh, Thailand Ambassador to Bahrain.
The event started off at 7.30 pm with a cocktail reception at the poolside terrace followed by dinner at 8.30 pm.
Guests were entertained by a group of cultural dancers who flew to Bahrain all the way from Thailand to perform during the one week festival. The event showcased Thai culture at its best with authentic Thai cuisine prepared by Thai chefs from the Mövenpick Hotel Phuket in Thailand.
The Thai festival will be opened to public from 23-29 May 2010 with a nightly live performance of Sbun-Nga Dance Company at the Mövenpick Hotel Bahrain. One lucky diner will get a chance to win a 6 night’s stay at Mövenpick Hotel Phuket and one return ticket by Qatar Airways.
