ibis Al Barsha has partnered with Rolling Stone Middle East as official hotel sponsor for the first ‘Battle of the Bands’ competition, a live event aimed at showcasing the musical talent in the Middle East region, which will kick off from 11 to 12 February at Dubai Festival City.
According to general manager Philippe Montaubin, the hotel’s support for this event shows the ibis brand’s commitment to the young generation: “At ibis Al Barsha, we understand today’s young people need a creative outlet to express themselves and their raw talent. With this first ever musical competition in the Middle East, we are excited to see local and regional bands ‘battle it out’ during the two-day event. And we’re delighted that the bands are staying with us at ibis Al Barsha.”
With room rates starting from Dh209++, the hotel appeals to business and leisure travellers who look for quality accommodation on a budget as well as young groups of people travelling to Dubai to attend events, go shopping or enjoy a city break.
The hotel features 378 double rooms, 100 twin-bed rooms and two special needs rooms across six floors. The judging panel for the event will consist of a host of well-known personalities in the local music scene, including Geordiebird from Dubai 92, host of Dubai Eye’s Open Mic show Zahra Soar, Triplew.me editor Paul Kelly, DJ Bliss and Adam Grundey, editor of Rolling Stone Middle East.
