Every city has its leading hotel and Karachi had the Sheraton for many years however, on January 1 2014 Mövenpick Hotels & Resorts took over management of the 407-room Sheraton Karachi. Rebranded the Mövenpick Hotel Karachi, it is the first property in Pakistan to be managed by the upscale international hospitality company of Swiss heritage.
The hotel has a rich legacy of holding numerous international events and many a Karachiite fondly remembers going to the hotel for an upscale wedding or corporate get-together. Jean Gabriel Pérès, President and Chief Executive Officer for Mövenpick Hotels & Resorts is confident of carrying forward this tradition, “We are looking forward to building on this wonderful legacy with our international experience and unique Swiss sense of hospitality.”
A major refurbishment of the hotel’s lobby, restaurants and two guest room floors will be carried out by the company in 2014 and implemented to the Swiss high standards that are a hallmark of Mövenpick Hotels & Resorts.
If you are planning a trip to Karachi make sure you stay at the Movenpick there and enjoy the scrumptious breakfast they serve at Al Bustan – the international all day buffet restaurant.
