Arabian Courtyard Hotel & Spa, located in the heart of the ancient cultural district of Dubai, announces the launch of its first Sheer Khurma Muqabala and invites aspiring chefs to send in their recipes for a chance to win fabulous prizes.
Sheer Kurma is a special dish prepared by the celebrating Muslim community on occasion of Eid-el-Fitr in South Asian countries such as India, Pakistan and Bangladesh. Sheer means sweetened milk and Khorma means dried dates. In short, Sheer Khurma is milk with dates and traditionally served on the morning of Eid in the family after the Eid prayer as breakfast and throughout the day to all the visiting guests.
Habib Khan, General Manager, Arabian Courtyard Hotel & Spa, said: “We are very proud to launch our first Sheer Kurma Muqabala at Arabian Courtyard Hotel & Spa. Sheer Kurma is one of the many traditions associated with Ramadan and Eid. The special dish comes in many variations so we would like to invite aspiring chefs to send in their recipes to get a chance to show their culinary and preparation skills. It will be a fun-filled event aside from the prizes that await the winner!”
The lucky finalists will get the chance to show off their culinary skills to a panel of judges on Tuesday, 14th August. The winning recipe will become a part of award-winning Mumtaz Mahal Restaurant menu.
The competition is open to aspiring chefs who take pride in cooking for their loves ones. Recipes along with the contact details must be sent to fbsales@arabiancourtyard.net or fax to 04-3559048 on or before Friday, 10th August 2012.
