Dubai, UAE – 6th May 2012 – Following the worldwide box office success of Stephen Spielberg’s ‘ The Adventures of Tintin: Secret of the Unicorn’, Rocco Forte’s Hotel Amigo in Brussels has teamed up with leading DMC Ovation Belgium and Moulinsart to create a unique Tintin-themed treasure hunt in Brussels.
The Belgian author Hergé first created ‘The Adventures of Tintin’ in 1929. The imaginative stories of the brave reporter’s courageous expeditions went on to become one of the most successful and loved children’s series in the world.
This unique experience is designed to bring the much-loved stories of Tintin to life and is a testament to how inspired Tintin’s creator Hergé really was by the Belgian capital. Groups seeking to explore the city and see a different side of the Belgian capital will follow in the footsteps of the intrepid reporter and his trusted sidekick Snowy. Those in quest of the treasures on offer will be aided in the hunt by scenes from Tintin’s adventures as well as pictures which provide clues. Using these clues participants will need to seek out the real life version of the scene depicted, which will be located somewhere in Brussels. The treasure hunt will take culture hungry participants all over the city and invites them to discover lesser known but charming sights along with some of the city’s well known and treasured spots.
Just like in The Adventures of Tintin, treasure hunters will be plunged into the history and culture of the city. This Brussels adventure would not be complete without a visit to the Hergé Museum in Louvain-la-Neuve, housed in an astounding piece of contemporary architecture the museum exhibits the works of Tintin’s creator in stunning galleries. For meetings, incentives and VIP groups, dinner and drinks receptions can be hosted in the museum, the perfect treasure for the end of this captivating hunt.
