The Red Bull Air race series was held in April 2009. It is a contest of spectacular acts displayed by various pilots showing their daring talent by flying at speeds of roughly 400 km/h through low-level inflatable “air gates”. This exhilirating sport is aptly termed ‘Formula one racing in the sky’ as it is the ultimate test of a pilot’s precision and skill. Apart from Abu Dhabi, this event is organized in nine cities across the world. It takes place every 2 to 3 years.
