Driving in Barcelona is one of the most daunting experiences as car hires and parking are expensive and the roads are completely unorganized with many streets being single direction and left turns being rarer than rights, and not to forget the heavy fines!

If you are going to drive, then it is recommended to get a good quality automobile map and to use it to find the location and plan a route before you actually start driving. The typical tourist maps available can be quite misleading and can get you in trouble with traffic violations! A GPS navigation system is probably the best bet while driving in Barcelona.
