Station

altPerhaps the most convenient and hassle free way to go about Bucharest is in the Metro. The metro lines (M1, M2, M3, and M4) are spread throughout the city but have more stops in the peripheral areas as previously subways were used to transport workers to and from the city center. Modernization plans of the city have also benefited the metro network with new trains and state of the art technology to manage timely departures and arrivals at each stop.
All the four train lines cover different parts of the city and M4 connects the city to the airport. The ride is comfortable, cheap and quick for locals as well as tourist planning to commute the city for sightseeing. Metro charges are as follows:
2 trips = 3 leis
10 trips = 9 leis
Monthly pass = 23 leis
