Because of

Cairo’s cosmopolitan atmosphere, harsh discrimination will not be encountered. Yet, be aware that you may find some children crowding around you (especially if you are of a lighter complexion) in search of candy or other small givings. They may also just want to practice some English with you.

As a female (especially if you are of a lighter skin color), you might get some stares or comments. Ignore these and you should be okay.
