This annual festival is held in Calvinia a small town in the Northern Cape. Calvinia is famous for its sheep. During this 3 day festival local and out of town enthusiasts are treated to a variety of lamb stews, kebabs, curries and barbeque. A local delicacy is the head of the lamb itself. The festival also features music, dancing, a beauty pageant and a marathon.
