A small eatery located inside an old building above a street market in the central district downtown. The very location of the place attracts a large number of exhausted tourists and locals who are pulled to this charming diner like weary desert travelers to an oasis. And the oasis quenches their thirst (and hunger) with falafels, hot stews, saucy tahine, and delightful tabule, all wrapped in traditional Middle Eastern hospitality. Try some of the Arab pastries after the main course – very sweet.
Kafta also offers a large veggie-only menu, and is one of the few places around town you can get authentic Halal food.
