The bus system at Copenhagen is devised in a very efficient and organized manner. For the convenience of travelers 5 kinds of buses have been developed. Buses carry the bulk of passengers and are linked to six different routes which ultimately lead to different destinations. Buses arrive and depart with an interval of 2 to 6 minutes, the details of which are electronically displayed to all travelers. For night time travel, N Buses are ideal as they run from 1 AM to 5 AM daily. They operate within a network of ten lines and usually run the most during the weekends. If you are planning to pay a visit to the country side or suburbs, hop onto the S Buses which are faster as compared to other lines and offer computation services in areas where any railway services falter. Except for the line 20E which runs between the central square Kongens Nytorv and the DFDS (Oslo/Szczecin ferries) and cruise terminals, E Buses are of limited use to travelers as they offer services to commuters. Purely for the benefit of tourists, the city has recently developed the CityCirkel bus which is an environmental friendly bus and runs between an interval of seven minutes and stops at the city’s most popular attractions. It uses the same tickets as other public buses and trains and is accessible wherever there is a green dot. It leaves after every 30 minutes and in peak season buses depart after an hour. The price for a day is 150 Kr while for two days it is 220 Kr which complements a canal tour boats.
