From the Airport
Doha International Airport is located between the western edge of the city and the Persian Gulf, just a few kilometers from the city center. A new airport, New Doha International Airport, is located just to the west and should be open by 2012. Doha is quickly emerging as an international air hub.
The most convenient way to get into the city from the airport is in a taxi, though you will have to pay. A trip will cost anywhere between 30 and 75 Qatari Riyals depending on what kind of taxi you use and the time of day. Your accommodation can also arrange for a car to pick you up. The airport is home to all the major rental car companies, as well.
