The year 2009 sees the 20th anniversary of the Dubai Desert Classic, a prestigious six-day, professional golf tournament held each February. Noted stars from among the top 50 in the World Golf Rankings descend on Dubai to battle it out for the cup and the big prize money. Some of the stellar players who have attended this tournament are Tiger Woods, Henrik Stenson, Ernie Els and Sergio Gracia among others.
