For the traveller on a shoe-string budget, this hotel is a good option. Centrally located, it lives up to its name, being just a couple of blocks away from everything. The hotel is housed in only three floors of a building. The rooms are furnished with bare minimum essentials. The sixth floor reception area is adorned with carved antiques from Bali. These are souvenirs brought back by the hotel’s Danish born owner who used to manage a hotel there. Accommodations are a bit cramped here. Be prepared for minute rooms with two-tiered bunk beds. Maximum utilization of space has resulted in toilets being built in alcoves off the hallway. Larger rooms are available, but at a cost.
It is important for the visitor to know before hand that the reception staff is available only from 7am to 9pm so if you intend arriving outside these times, you should make prior arrangements for a check-in. Breakfast in bed is one luxury you can enjoy here.
