.The “Big Mosque” of Geneva, also home to the Islamic Cultural Foundation, was founded by King Faisal, ruler of Saudi Arabia, and was open to public on June 1, 1979.
The complex of the mosque consists of prayer areas, library, classrooms, a conference hall, and a mortuary. Apart from the usual five daily prayers and Friday mass congregation, activities such as Arabic language courses and religious and cultural conferences are also held here.
