The Centre Islamique de Geneve (Islamic Center of Geneva), also known as “The Little Mosque”.
This very first Islamic center in Europe was founded by an Egyptian, Said Ramadan, in 1965.
It is basically a small residence area which was converted into a cultural center for Muslims in Geneva. A large open space has been converted into a prayer area. Also included is a classroom for teaching Arabic and Islamic education. There is also a section where books on various topics of Islam are put up for display and sale.
