If you are planning to explore Helsinki to its fullest, you may want to invest in a Helsinki Card. This card gives you a lot of privileges such as free travel on tour guided buses and public trams, free entry into over 50 museums city wide, free ferry boat rides and entrance to the Suomenlinna Fortress and shopping discounts at selected stores. The card is available as either a 1, 2 or 3 day pass and prices vary with the age of the holder. The Helsinki Card can be obtained from hotels, travel agencies and from Helsinki tourist offices.

1 day = 30 Euros for adults, 11 Euros for children
2 days = 40 Euros for adults, 14 Euros for children
3 days = 50 Euros for adults, 17 Euros for children

Tourist Ticket
Mostly related to travel, this ticket is a travel pass that allows you to board multiple public transport modes for unlimited travel with the city. The cards comes in three denominations of 1 day, 3 days and 5 days and can be purchased from the tourist office and transport stations.

1 day = 6 Euros for adults, 3 Euros for children between 7 and 15.
3 days = 12 Euros for adults, 6 Euros for children between 7 and 15
5 days = 18 Euros for adults, 9 Euros for children 7 and 15.

City Ticket
Ranging between 1 to 2.5 Euros, this ticket is valid up to an hour on travel services within Helsinki.

Regional Ticket
Valid for 80 minutes, the regional ticket allows you to travel from Helsinki to Espoo, Vantaa and Kauniainen for 4 Euros. A variation is the Full Regional Ticket with which one can travel to Kerava and Kirkkonummi for only 6.2 Euros.
