What to do with Children in Tow
Ho Chi Minh City offers plenty of places where you can take your children.
One place to spend the day is the Saigon Zoo. With 133 years of operation, it’s is one the oldest zoos world. The wide variety of indigenous animals, the aquariums and the museum can keep children occupied for the entire day. Several temples are also found in its extensive grounds.
Ho Chi Minh City has some excellent water parks too, such as Dam Sen Water Park, with its range of water slides and underwater activities. Other water parks include the Dai Gioi Water Park, Water World and the Ocean Water Park.
Boat trips are another main attraction in Ho Chi Minh City for children to enjoy. The Mekong Delta is a short trip south of Ho Chi Minh City and is a suitable day trip for families who would like to explore the myriad lakes and canals. Many companies also offer cruises on the Saigon River.
Bowling is always a great pastime for the kids. The number one bowling center in Ho Chi Minh City is Diamond Superbowl on the fourth floor of Diamond Plaza shopping center, which is located in the middle of the city. It has a total of 32 lanes and for those who get tired of bowling, snooker and a video arcade are also available.
For more adventurous kids and for a bit of an educational experience, the Cu Chi Tunnels are a great place to explore. Located towards the North of Ho Chi Minh City, they require a good portion of the day.
