Image Tourists can take a taxi from George Bush Intercontinental Airport and the ride would cost between $45 to $55 and would take about 40 minutes. Alternatively visitors can go for the shuttle services which take people to and from the airport to almost all hotels. Ticket prices depend on the distance the hotel is from the airport and are available at counters in the terminals. Shuttle services include:

Professional Airport Shuttle (tel. 713/988-5126; www.houstonproshuttle.com)

Super Shuttle (tel. 713/523-8888 or 800/BLUE VAN; www.supershuttle.com)

Airport Shuttle America (tel. 281/530-4000)

Tourists can also reach their hotels via the bus service operated by METRO (tel. 713/635-4000; www.ridemetro.org). Tickets cost $1.50 and buses leave every 30 minutes. The journey to Downtown would take roughly 1 hour.

If driving is more your thing, then there are many car-rental companies for you to choose from at the terminals. Take the Eastex Freeway or the North Freeway to reach Downtown.
