The Arts Council and students from the National Academy of Performing Arts (NAPA) organized the first ever three-day Muslim Film Festival from 6 – 8 July, 2007. This was attended by a relatively small amount of people on the first day, but by the third day the crowd and their response was amazing.
A second Muslim Film festival was held in 2008, from the 6 – 8th of July. The three-day event screened documentaries, feature-length movies, short films, and multimedia reports and presentation on the Muslim world. Awards for ‘Best Film’ etc were also a feature of this festival.
