Beautifully restored, this garden is one of the most peaceful and beautiful places in Kathmandu. Built after Feild Marshall Kaiser Shamser (1892-1964) visited the gardens of Edwarian England, he won the funds from his father (the prime minister of the time) in an epic Rs 100 000 game of cowrie shells.
