Deepavali “Diwali”
The Diwali festival or “festival of lights” illuminates Kuala Lumpur with spectacular firework renditions in commemoration of the death of Narakasura, an evil god who became addicted to power and mistreated women. Thus, Narakasura’s death is celebrated with fireworks, colorful lights, and candles because it represents light triumphing over darkness.
