Coliseum Cafe

Opened since 1921, the Coliseum Cafe is considered one of the oldest restaurants in the country. Even more impressive, though, is the air of authenticity it has managed to retain. For instance, the restaurant looks as if it has not been spruced up since opening: it has stained white walls, worn tiles, and threadbare linens. Some of its customers, though, do not find this sort of ancient authenticity as charming. Rather, these customers see Coliseum Cafe as a dirty and greasy food joint. Regardless of your perception of the place, the two main dishes which will leaving you wanting more are the sizzling steaks and baked crabmeat.
