Taxis are available 24 hours of the day in Larnaca, and are a cheap option for getting around within the city. They can be hailed from any street corner, or booked in advance. Most taxis have a one-off charge and run by the meter. However, if the taxi does not have a meter it is recommended that you fix the rate of the fare in advance, before commencing your journey. Keep in mind that extra rates apply during holidays and late at night. There also shared taxi services available for inter-city travel. These are relatively more expensive, but extremely comfortable and luxurious.
