The last week of June and the first week of July sees sports fans flocking to Wimbledon to see tennis champions thrashing it out for the much coveted title at the world famous Wimbledon Lawn Tennis Championships. Started in 1877, this event sees the gathering of a socially prominent crowd.
The tennis complex at Church Road is also home to the Wimbledon Lawn Tennis Museum which houses an impressive display of tennis material giving an insight into the long history of the sport.
