Central London, which is overflowing with high end hotels, lacks small, personally run places, but this hotel fills the gap. It lies near Sherlock Holmes’s Baker Street and is within walking distance of Oxford Street and Regent’s Park.
Run by the same family since 1973, The Georgian has a dedicated staff and management that take great care in constantly improving and enhancing their services. The English breakfast served here is available from 8:00am to 9:30am and costs £5 per person and is quite basic. There are numerous cafes nearby which offer a better choice.
The manner in which the original architectural character of the building was retained even as modern comforts were added, makes the hotel enchanting. Most of the rooms have private bathrooms, and there’s an elevator to all floors. Bedrooms are neutral in style, and it is best to avoid the ground-floor rooms. Some of the back rooms open onto a wall, so don’t expect a great view. All rooms have free wifi access.
