Barbican
Barbican Centre is a performing arts arena located in the heart of London. Here you will find Barbican Hall (home of the London Symphony Orchestra), Barbican Theatre, Barbican Art Gallery, Barbican Film (with 3 cinema screens that are capable of holding 288 people), exhibition halls, 3 restaurants, conference halls and 5 public libraries.
The Centre hosts concerts – both classic and modern, theatre performances, film screenings and art exhibitions throughout the year. If you are looking to purchase goods, check out the Barbican Shop, which sells a variety of design-led gift items including stationery and accessories. You can also purchase art at the Design Market and from the Art Gallery Shop. If you are lucky there might even be a popup shop somewhere in the centre for you to purchase some artsy goods from.
Barbican is a must visit if you are into the arts scene; it’s currently one of the largest performing arts centres in Europe.
