When to go

Being part of the Arabian Peninsula, Madinah is naturally dry for most of the year. The coolest months on the calendar are January and February but even these months are hot. In July, temperatures can reach highs of 40 degrees-Celsius,  making it quite unbearable in the daytime for any sort of activites. The ideal time to pay a visit to Madinah is between the months of November and May because it gets really hot May onwards. However, since Muslims usually visit Madinah while on a Hajj, Umrah or during Ramadan, they are left with little choice as to when they visit the city.
