SAPTCO i.e. the Saudi Arabian Public Transort Company runs luxurious buses that provide excellent air-conditioning, baggage-space, water bottles and sometimes snacks too. These buses run several times a day from almost all parts of Saudi Arabia at very affordable rates. You can find SAPTCO bus stations right next to the Masjid Al-Nabawi. Please note that the SAPTCO terminal is off-limits to non-Muslims.
A 6- hour ride from Makkah to Madinah will cost around SAR 50 whilst a 5-hour journey from Medinah-to-Jeddah and vice versa will cost SAR 45. The Medina to Jeddah trip can also be undertaken in private cheaper buses costing SAR 35.
