Kite Flying Festival

A much awaited event that takes place in Delhi and is eagerly looked forward to by adults and children alike is the Kite Flying Festival that is held annually on the occasion of Makar Sankranti. Delhi skies are filled with dazzling colors as kites of different shapes and sizes dot  the air, each trying to outdo the other in scaling the sky. A big competition is held at the national as well as international level near Palika Bazar, Connaught Place, Kite flying display is also part of the activities. There are prizes to be won as well and participants enjoy a gala time.
