Conveniently located near the railway station and virtually everything in Nice, this is a hotel you will not forget for long. Semi-tropical gardens and antique fountains filled with lush green plants create an exotic and magical aura and one can easily conjure up visions of ghosts of past guests of this establishment. During the first half of the 20th century, this place was a boarding house for Russians. Notable among them were Anton Chekhov, the famous literary figure who composed part of Three Sisters here. Lenin too has been a guest and spent a holiday here in 1911. An air of old fashioned charm still pervades the hotel though modernization has taken place and bedrooms have been refurbished many times. The tiled bathrooms are in a pristine condition and accommodations are well maintained. Bar service is provided in the garden. There is limited room service as well as babysitting facility.
