Taxi

Taxis are easily available but quite over-priced. They should be avoided as much as possible due the ridiculously high fares. A taxi from the airport to the Nice city center can easily cost  € 35. Fares for taxis within the city of Nice should be less than € 20. It is important to insist on being charged by the meter and to watch the meter as taxi drivers here are not known for their honesty.
