If you are on a budget, this is a reasonable place to stay. Small and modest, this hotel has a front entrance that is difficult to detect among the highly visible restaurants crowding in front. The multitude of musicians playing at the nearby jazz clubs make up majority of the clientele. The décor is loosely inspired by India, Southeast Asia and Africa and has a warm toned touch to it. Bedrooms are small and not in a band box condition, but musical instruments and framed paintings lend an artistic and interesting look to them. The small bathrooms have only a shower in them. This six-storey hotel with its narrow winding staircase and no elevator is certainly not meant for the old and those with mobility issues. There is only one room with its own private terrace and it is on the top floor. Street facing accommodation may not be that quiet but the double-glazed windows do hush the noise to a large extent. It’s a different story altogether in midsummer when the heat compels you to open the windows.
