Shanghai Metro

The underground system is the most efficient means of transportation in Shanghai.Tubes are preferable over the other modes of travel. This network has extensive coverage. Most of Shanghai’s attractions are covered by the Metro line 1, 2, 3 [light rail] and 4. More lines have opened and are in the process of being opened to cater to locals and visitors. Tickets are available at stations. Tickets should be kept till visitors have disembarked at their destination and have left the station. Announcements are made in English as well which will be helpful.
