Sharjah Art Museum

This place is the center piece of the Arts Area; it is renowned as having one of the UAE’s largest and most extraordinary collections of art. It is also the annual organizer of the Sharjah Biennal. The permanent collection houses watercolours, oil paintings and lithographs from the 18th and 19th century. Most of the collection is from the ruling family’s collection but the curators’ stage regular shows of local and international contemporary artists. The building also has a café.
