When to go
Tehran is situated 1200m above sea level so is slightly cooler than most other Middle -Eastern cities. Even so, stay away during the extremes of summer and winter for the most comfortable holiday. Best times to visit are late September to early November and mid-April to early June. If wishing to go skiing in the beautiful Alborz mountain range just north of the city however, winter is suitable.
