The youth hostel, hidden deep in the heart of the medina, is a classic example of African hospitality with no frills attached. The hostel has been erected on the architecturally sound Palace of the last sultan with spacious halls and a wide courtyard. Accommodation is provided with very basic amenities and breakfast and evening meals are fulfilling yet offer limited choices.
