Wiener Festwochen (from the beginning of May until the middle of June)

Every year for five weeks, in May and June, Vienna comes alive with the sound of music, the patter of dancing feet and myriad performances. Started in 1951, during the occupation of Vienna by the four allies, this festival is held each year at the Theatre an der Wein.
