The Bellevue, a 4 star hotel, is another of Austria’s historic hotels which was built in 1873, at the same time as the Franz-Josefs Bahnhof Railway Station, probably to accommodate passengers. It is on a busy street corner and, like the Flatiron Building of Manhattan, it has a wedge shape position. It is opposite the station, close to the Underground U 4 station, and also near one of the most beautiful Baroque palaces of Vienna, the Liectenstein Palace. In 1983, the hotel was renovated quite extensively and a modern wing was added. Today there are 160 non-smoking rooms, nicely furnished, clean, well maintained and in contemporary style. On request one can book special family rooms. High speed internet is provided free of charge in all deluxe rooms. Each air conditioned room has a radio, minibar, satellite and pay TV, safe and dryer.
The hotel has one restaurant, a coffee bar, two conference rooms for up to 50 guests and four banqueting rooms.
