Though the outer facade looks like a department store, this hotel has all the modern comforts for a comfortable stay at reasonable rates. It is near the main railway station, Westbahnhof. Close by are numerous restaurants, the Schoenbrunn Palace, the famous Naschmarkt and Mariahilfer Strasse, the famous shopping street of Vienna. It is a small motel sized place. Groups frequent the Ibis, as meals and drinks are reasonably priced by Vienna standards.
There are 341 air-conditioned, non smoking rooms which may not have the best in furnishings, but are neat with attached bathrooms equipped with showers. At the price quoted this is a good place for the budget traveler.
There is a restaurant in house and a 24 hour bar which serves snacks. Six meeting rooms are useful for the business traveler. Wifi Internet is available, pets are allowed and pay parking is available close by. The view from the terrace is quite interesting.
